The Saviour is born in Bethlehem.

REFLECTION

Leaps of trust is the theme for our reflection. Joseph and Mary had their individual moments of divine visitation through dreams and revelation respectively. They both trusted God’s promises and as challenging as it was God fulfilled what He had promised them through Angel Gabriel. Truly, while they were at Bethlehem, “…the time came for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn. (Luke 2:6-7).

My dear friend, God has plans for our lives, however we sometimes need to go through challenges of persecution, betrayal and hardship to see it fulfilled. Regardless of the process, you need to have leaps of trust in God. Joseph and Mary were mere mortals like us but the difference is that they set doubts aside and trusted the Lord’s guidance, direction and strength in fulfilling their part in the history of the world’s salvation. Look beyond your circumstances, have a leap of trust because what God has promised will be fulfilled in your life. Shalom.

PRAYER

Father, in our troubles and challenges, strengthen us to always have leaps of trust in your faithfulness and promises to us. Amen.
