REFLECTION

Living by faith is the theme for our reflection. Living by faith means looking forward with hope and conviction that God is with us every step of our lives. We believe that His grace is ever sufficient through His sustenance and providence.

To live by faith means to depend on God with our feeble strength, trust and obey Him. “When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. He told them: “Take nothing for the journey—no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra shirt. Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town.” (Luke 9:1-4). Just like the disciples, we must live by faith by trusting and obeying Jesus. We are to not journey in life by focusing on our relationship with God and the task he has assigned us to perform in the lives of others. To live by faith means we will not be obsessed with what to wear, eat and spend but rather “…seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6:33). Living by faith means total dependence on God and total empowerment from God even as we go about our livelihood, stewardship and evangelistic responsibilities. Shalom.

PRAYER

Lord Jesus, enable us to live by faith and not by sight so that we may continually please you in all our endeavours and remain good stewards of your grace and blessings. Amen
