REFLECTION
‘Our response’ is the theme for our reflection. To respond means to say something or to do something in return as a way of communicating a desire or answer to a quest. A response can be in a verbal or non-verbal form. It is important to respond to God’s love and plans for us as believers.
God has made clear His intention, love and will through His commandment and Statutes to the Israelites, if they respond by obeying by His Word then they shall be blessed abundantly with good weather and rain to increase their Agricultural gains and food security. (Leviticus 26:3:6). My dear friend in the Lord our response to God’s covenant relationship with us must be centered on faithfulness and obedience. King Saul disobeyed God and Samuel made him understand that “Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and presumption is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has also rejected you from being king.”(1 Samuel 15:22-23). No matter who you are, your response to God’s Word or commandment must be your faithfulness and obedience through your words and actions. The Lord is ever ready to bless those who respond to His call, love and will. Reflect, repent and turn to Him while you are still alive, for the salvation of the Lord is eternal. Shalom
PRAYER
This is my response to you O, Lord, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. I have sworn an oath and confirmed it, to keep your righteous rules.” Amen (Psalm 119:105-106)
