LENT REFLECTION (DAY 10)
Restoration is the theme for today’s reflection. Restoration is the action of returning something to a former condition. Restoration is needed in a situation of suffering and hopelessness. Jesus proved to us in the Gospels that He has the power to restore every infirmity and oppression orchestrated by demons. “Jesus was driving out a demon that was mute. When the demon left, the man who had been mute spoke, and the crowd was amazed. (Luke 11:14) The man who had been mute because of the demon received total liberation and restoration.
Lent is a period of restoration and preparation towards Easter. Like the man who was mute, many of us are going through difficult or challenging situations which have made us mute. Many have been made mute by abuse and injustice. Some people are hopelessly mute because they are battling with unwholesome addictions such as alcoholism, fornication, masturbation, pornography and sexual addictions of different kinds. Truly, many are mute but struggling spiritually and morally and need help. We must understand that Jesus has power over demons or unclean spirits and overcomes them. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. ” (Ephesians 6:12) Let Jesus come into your life so that you may experience His touch and power of restoration during this lent season and beyond. Shalom
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, when we become mute and oppressed by unclean spirits, let the Holy Spirit empower and restore us to experience your glory. Amen
