REFLECTION
The theme for our reflection is, a valuable fleet. A fleet is a group of ships sailing together, engaged in the same activity, or under the same ownership. A valuable fleet is therefore a group of ships carry goods considered to be of great value when quantified in money’s worth. We catch a glimpse of Solomon’s wealth through the historical facts documented in Chronicles. “For the king’s ships went to Tarshish with the servants of Hiram. Once every three years the ships of Tarshish used to come bringing gold, silver, ivory, apes, and peacocks. Thus King Solomon excelled all the kings of the earth in riches and in wisdom.” (2 Chronicles 9:21-22).
Dear friend, a person’s value or worth is determined by the sum total of His wealth. The sum total of a person’s value is ultimately determined by God’s grace. King Solomon was a beneficiary of God’s grace and blessing. He prayed for wisdom and the will of God to be done in His life to be able serve God’s people. God’s grace and glory was upon King Solomon and he was blessed greatly. Beloved in the Lord desire His will to be done in your life and at His own time you will possess valuable fleet to the glory of God. Haggai 2:8 assures us that “The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, declares the LORD of hosts. If you seek gold and silver in your fleet or life then like King Solomon, desire wisdom from God, work with your body and walk according to His will even when it becomes difficult to do so. In other words when, God blesses your head, heart and hands, you shall possess valuable fleets. King Solomon’ head was blessed with God’s wisdom, his heart loved God and his hands worked as a King and consequently, he was greatly was blessed by God. It is now your turn. Desire to be rich and be rich according to His grace. May you possess valuable fleet to His glory. Shalom
PRAYER
Almighty God, we surrender our heads, hearts and hands to you, may Your will be done in our lives and may we be blessed with valuable fleets to the glory of Your name. Amen.
