REFLECTION
Wise faces is the theme for our reflection. A person is considered to be wise if he or she shows experience, knowledge, and good judgement in his or her speech and conduct. It is however important to acknowledge the fact that to be wise as a believer, you must have a relationship with God because “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.”(Proverbs 9:10). King Solomon teaches that “And who knows the interpretation of a thing? A man’s wisdom makes his face shine…” (Ecclesiastes 8:1) In other words, your fear of God and knowledge of the Holy one will grant you divine enlightenment and the ability to excell in your understanding and dealing of life’s issues wherever you find yourself. A man or woman referred to as a wise face or shining face by virtue of his or her wisdom is one who shows the way even in difficult situations. As Christians or disciples of Christ, our faces must shine with wisdom because of our fear and knowledge of God through Christ. We are the touch bearers of God’s wisdom and Salvation in the world therefore we must bring light to wherever there is darkness through our demonstration of our God-given wisdom and the knowledge of His Word. We must demonstrate wisdom or show our wise faces in the most challenging situations we find ourselves, especially in times of anger, suffering, frustration and temptation. Our wise faces must shine in these situations for others to acknowledge the glory of God in our lives. Shalom
PRAYER
Dear Lord, in the most difficult situations of life, let our wise faces shine in the darkness of ignorance and confusion so that the world will know that we are your children and our wisdom and glory comes from You. Amen
