REFLECTION

Words for a living hope is the theme for our reflection. Words for a living hope are words of assurance of a brighter future, revival, tranformatiom and salvation from our Lord to us as a result of our repentance, forgiveness and reconciliation with Him. The prodigal son was spiritually lost and dead but the words for living hope were said to him when he repented and came home to his father. The words for a living hope and a demonstration of God’s love to repentant sinners are: “For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found…” (Luke 15:24) In other words, sin may lead us to physical, spiritual and moral death, but repentance and salvation in Christ will resurrect us again. Sin or disobedience to God will render us lost but repentance and God’s forgiveness will enable us to remain in His presence and continue to experience His love, grace and glory again.

Dear friend, the words for a living hope is captured again in John 3:16-17 that “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” If you are a beneficiary of these words for a living hope then become a channel through which others who are spiritually, morally dead and lost will also receive these words for a living hope and be resurrected or revived to the glory of God. shalom.
