REFLECTION

“Now and forever, Amen” is the theme for our reflection. Now and forever means the infinite. It means the reign of God is limitless or endless in space, extent, or size; impossible to measure or calculate. Amen means “so shall it be”. John wrote that in revelation, “The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign forever and ever.” (Revelation 11:15)

The key lesson in today’s reflection is that we must not put our hope on the Kingdom of this world which is ephemeral or will not last forever. Paul reminds us that “our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body” (Philippians 3:20-21)We must allow God to reign in our lives so that when the Messiah comes to judge the world we shall inherit the everlasting Kingdom. Jesus admonishes us to “seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6:33) In other words we must seek first the everlasting Kingdom of God and the Lord who is faithful ” will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen (Philippians 4:19-20). Let us continue to live our lives as people who await the return of their Master and Saviour who will usher us into the Kingdom of God where He reigns forever and ever. Amen.

PRAYER
