Light Before the Sun

Introduction

Did you know that light existed before the sun? It sounds strange, but it is true. In Genesis 1:3, God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. The sun did not appear until days later. This reminds us that real light does not come from the sun, electricity, or any human source. True light comes from God Himself.

Many of us think life will only get better when everything falls into place. We say, “When I get the job… when I have more money… when people finally see my worth.” But God’s light does not wait for perfect conditions. He can shine right into our dark moments before anything around us changes.

Light Comes Before the Sun

Just as light came before the sun in creation, God’s light can come before your situation changes. You do not need everything to be in order before your life brightens. You do not need the “sun” – the job, the money, the relationship, the approval – before God can step in.

When God speaks, darkness has to move. His light is not controlled by circumstances. That means your life can shine even if things around you are still hard.

God’s Light Starts Inside

Sometimes we wait for God to fix our situation, but God wants to fix our hearts first. We tell God, “If You don’t do this, I don’t know if I can keep believing.” But maybe God is saying, “Let Me light up your soul before I light up your life.”

God’s light is not always something you see with your eyes. It can be peace when your mind is full of worry. It can be joy when nothing is working. It can be hope when the future looks dark. That is what divine light does; it starts on the inside before it shows on the outside.

Stop Waiting for Everything to Be Perfect

How many times have you said, “God, I will trust You when things get better”? Or, “I will believe again when You answer this prayer”? But what if God is inviting you to believe now, even before the sun rises? What if He wants your faith to shine while it is still dark?

Faith is not waiting for the light to appear. Faith is trusting the One who is the Light.

Conclusion

Light existed before the sun, and it can exist in your life before the answer comes. You do not have to wait for everything to make sense before you trust God again. His light can fill your heart, your mind, and your situation, even if nothing around you has changed yet.

So where do you need God’s light today? Is it in your thoughts, your emotions, or your circumstances? Whatever it is, invite Him in. His light is ready to shine.
