REFLECTION
What goes around comes around is the theme for our reflection. It is an expression that mean that a person must be careful of his actions or inaction towards others, for whatever he or she does today has it future consequences.
Jesus stresses the importance of being sensitive and merciful when dealing with other people. You may be in a position today that requires that you show mercy and forgive or pardon a person who has erred or who deserves to be condemned but Jesus reminds us that what goes around comes around therefore ”Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to you.” (Luke 6:37). It is again important to note that, Jesus could have cursed those who tortured and crucified Him on the cross but to teach us that we are for peace and not for war, for salvation and not for destruction of souls He taught us to say,on the cross that “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” (Luke 23:35). May today’s reflection encourage you and help you let go of any grudge and vengeance within you. Let God be the judge and your vindicator. Love, forgiveness and peace must go around and come around. Shalom
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, cure us of the pains caused by those who have hurt us and strengthen us to practice your example of unconditional love and forgiveness in order to remain your faithful disciples.
