REFLECTION
What is the Good News? is the theme for our reflection. The Good News is the message and assurance of salvation through Jesus Christ. The Good News is recieved when we experience the forgiveness of sins and the love of God through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The Good News is summed up in John 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”
The sinful woman believed to be a prostitute came to Jesus to show him hospitality as a way of seeking forgiveness and a deeper relationship with God. She recieved the Good News she yearned for when Jesus said to her “Your sins are forgiven.”… And he said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.” (Luke 7:48-50). My dear friend, the Good News comes to those who repent and genuinely seek forgiveness. It comes to those who have faith in Jesus by making Him their Lord and Saviour and last but not the least, the Good News is for those who desire the peace of God in their lives. Are you a repented beneficiary of the Good News and God’s grace? If yes then praise the Lord! If not, then the grace of the Lord is still available to you today, come to Jesus and recieve the Good News of Salvation through genuine repentance and experience the joy and peace that transcends all understanding. Shalom.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus may we forever remain the beneficiaries of the transformational power of the Good News. Amen
