REFLECTION

Faith and healing is the theme for our reflection. Faith according to Hebrews 11:1 is “the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”. Healing is the process of becoming sound or healthy again. Faith and healing therefore is the assurance of the health and restoration hoped for and the conviction that Jesus has the power to heal.

Faith and healing manifested in the life of the woman who had the discharge of blood for twelve years. She had the assurance of becoming sound by putting her hope in Jesus and having the conviction that a touch of His garments will bring an end to her twelve years of suffering. Surely “She came up behind him and touched the fringe of his garment, and immediately her discharge of blood ceased.” (Luke 8:44). Jesus later said to her “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace.”(Luke 8:48)

My dear friend, faith does not force Jesus to heal us, faith  means that regardless of the pain and number of years of suffering, a believer still has the assurance that Jesus has the power to heal and it is this hope and conviction that brings about the manifestation of God’s power of healing and restoration. Faith is the process of trusting and obeying the Lord. Prayer is the power cable that connects us to God and Faith enables God’s power of restoration and transformation to be transmitted into our lives. Healing through faith is just one example of what Jesus is able to do in our lives through faith. Shalom

PRAYER

Lord Jesus, may you cure the doubts created by pain and sickness in our lives and strengthen our faith to experience your healing and restoration power.
